The attending Dr came in today. She reconfirmed what the g.i. Dr had said. they decreased the volume of feeds to 30 cc an hour or an ounce an hour. They also opted to decrease his vitals checks to every 8 hours to allow both of us to get some sleep. His weight gain his right for his age…as in he gained an ounce a day for the past 3 days. However, tube feeding is not ideal. If he needs this until he can tolerate food they may choose to do a more permanent feeding tube via his stomach, but that is down the rd.
